Fishing the River Aros
Traditionally only a fly fishing river, the River Aros is about 5 miles long and is an idyllic spate river with an abundance of wildlife.
It flows through the attractive countryside of Glen Aros down to the estuary mouth by the Aros Bridge.
Heavy rain can produce a run of sea trout in June and salmon will run during late June, July, August,September and occasionally October if there has been little rain in the previous months. There are 22 pools in all and the river is divided into Upper and Lower beats.
